Tired of plywood, offcuts, and random wood all over your shop? Build this Mobile Wood Storage Cart and get a place for all your lumber! It's 6' long and 28" wide with storage on both sides and four interior shelves (plus an open top shelf). Add vertical wood storage on a small section or an entire side to fit your needs.
It's made from one sheet of 3/4" plywood and 8 2x4's and can be made with just a circular saw, miter saw, a pocket hole jig and set of drills. Add an optional sheet of ply to cover the interior and hold small parts on this wood rack.
You will get a 12 page PDF Plan of Cut Diagrams, Parts Lists, and 3D diagrams with detailed steps to build the project. Measurements are in imperial, not metric.

Easy build, extremely sturdy!
I am so happy to have made it! It is a great way to store plywood and lumber and all my off cuts! Really convenient and cleans up the workspace.
Plans were clear for the most part, some of the measurements for the shelf notches were hard to read and I made a few mistakes. Suggest to give dimensions for each piece separately or something like that. Other than that it was pretty easy to build. Nice tip on cutting the bevels. I did not make the vertical rack so I could have more room for sheet goods and access to the shelves.
The drawing that shows the 2x4 angles is not clear on what direction the 5 degree cut should be made, the long or the short end against the fence. Ask me how I know. The cut is on the short end with the long ends against the fence. I think some additional dimensions on the drawing would help. Otherwise the drawings were super helpful.
Accurate, detailed plans. The cart has been a tremendous help in keeping my shop organized.
This didn't take long to build, and it actually looks like the picture when you're done. I didn't put the shelf material on at the time, I'm waiting until I have some left over. I did have a piece for the top. I only used 4 casters, which I found out soon after having it loaded, I should have just went to the store and got 2 more. It still moves around easy enough, it would be better with 6 casters. The small off cut holder is very useful, don't skip it.
