Tired of plywood, offcuts, and random wood all over your shop? Build this Mobile Wood Storage Cart and get a place for all your lumber! It's 6' long and 28" wide with storage on both sides and four interior shelves (plus an open top shelf). Add vertical wood storage on a small section or an entire side to fit your needs.
It's made from one sheet of 3/4" plywood and 8 2x4's and can be made with just a circular saw, miter saw, a pocket hole jig and set of drills. Add an optional sheet of ply to cover the interior and hold small parts on this wood rack.
You will get a 12 page PDF Plan of Cut Diagrams, Parts Lists, and 3D diagrams with detailed steps to build the project. Measurements are in imperial, not metric.

Plans were dimensionally accurate. I opted to extend the length for my project to 8'. I found the shelving to be very tedious and it took a bit of trial and error before I figured-out what method worked best. The plans weren't very helpful for the shelving. The slope of 5 degrees isn't quite enough to give good stability for more lightweight, i.e. 1/4" plywood. This became very obvious once I had stuffed the upright storage sections to capacity. Finally, the casters on my longer design really needed to be fixed on one end to make guiding the cart easier. I'd assume a 6' long cart would be the same.

Plan was easy to follow. I made one small modification to the thin-stock bin on the side, but I'm pretty sure that modification began with a "mistakes were made" scenario. Video was a help to me as well, and I went to it a couple of times to confirm what I was doing. Thanks, Brad!
Loved the project, working off a set of plans does make the process a lot easier. Being in Australia I converted all measurements to metric with success. I used 90x45 Pine, think i could have used 90x35 with success. Thinking of the mobile mitre saw stand next
